Wishing for fragrance, fragrance, fragrance!
For as long as I can remember my sense of smell has seemed to be particularly acute. I find myself feeling very akin to the character of Grenouille in Patrick Suskind's Perfume.... Minus the sinister desire to acquire a smells by means of murder, of course. Needless to say, fragrances are forever on my wish list. Some friends bought me the most beautifully scented English Pear and Freesia candle from Jo Malone for my birthday, and I'm never without a Glasshouse Manhattan candle in my room. But now there is one more waxy delight I need to add to my fragrant collection (which also extends to perfumes, fabric care, and all sorts of beauty products; but here I'm concentrating all my wishes on candles): Malin + Goetz Dark Rum.
